Horrible. Very complicated to conduct business with. Refused to give me receipts of what was already paid. Made me wait... 1 full week for receipts. Didn’t keep me updated and kept saying 1-2 days for receipts.
Been over 1 week and have received ZERO documentation / notes / contract for my temporary roof fix. And if I didn’t resort to yelling, I would have never even got a receipt that I waited patiently for, for several days.
Told me they would fix my roof leak but didn’t, I had to wait several days, to me makes zero sense to charge me for drying if the leak isn’t even identified, let alone fixed. So finally after I insisted the leak be fixed they sent someone the same day.
Also, I would have had a company out there much sooner but they held me up THREE critical days I could have been on a waitlist to get that service done.
The receptionist Hailey was extremely RUDE. Arguing with me through email downright refusing to do HER JOB saying “I’m not doing double work” when I was asking for an updated contract for what was already paid and no longer wanting to cont. with demo services. —they ended up giving me the updated contract I was entitled to after I caused a huge scene. All the proof is in the emails…
Tried to call corporate to speak to a supervisor and had the same dismissive experience. Not helpful, can’t give me any info at all about when someone would be available to get me a receipt & updated contract. ALL AFTER I PAID THEM and they were coming to get their stuff to complete the job.
They actually asked me to pay them “your insurance deductible” and I told them absolutely NOT. I will pay you a “deposit” for drying so they were wanting to take way more $ from me than they even needed upfront!
Furthermore, they never opened up the walls to dry them out!!!!
It’s very very clear to me they don’t truly care about the customer.
After reading previous reviews it seems as though the experience I had was not an isolated incident.. I can see the owner on every single one of them acting defensive and blaming the customer, very apparent that same type of attitude has been demonstrated by the the workers & they have learned from the owner to take zero accountability for their lack of due diligence.
I will say on a positive note, all of the workers that came out were very nice and respectful. I feel like most of this, if not all, could have been prevented.read more

Thank God I got ahold of these guys. I had a late night plumbing mishap and had water pouring from behind my fridge and... after having it repaired i was stuck with alot of water damage but they came out and removed all the water on both levels of the house and GREATLY reduced the damage to my floors. My house was clean and they were trustworthy & professional. Tyler & James are wonderful. My starry nights ceiling (twinkle lights) were ruined with the water and Mike not only fixed it but added constellations. He made what I thought was my worst nightmare the easiest and most stress free work I've done on my house. I called because I had a significant water leak in my ceiling before 6 pm. It took them hours to get out, which makes... absolute sense because you cannot be every place at one time so that was fine. Techs came in, set up 1 fan and 4 dehumidifiers (too many in the same room and tripped the breaker so they did not run all night anyway), took some moisture readings and left. Originally it was thought my insurance would cover this so cost was never discussed. The next morning my public adjuster advised against using this service because the insurance company was not going to cover the damages because of a prior claim. I called to cancel. Guy tells me I am making the wrong decision to trust my PA but I cancel anyway and he informs me the bill will be $2,500. For a fan and dehumidifiers (which did not even run all night because his techs put too many in one room), moisture readings, and took pictures. He explained that it was an "emergency call after hours" and is similar to an emergency room. An emergency room would have actually done something to fix the roof leak! This is a classic case of gouging prices, and this type of company has the authority to place a mechanic's (contractor) lien on your house with no court hearing. I called to negotiate prices and he did give me the option to try and have my roofer pay or he could move the price a little but he "didn't have a lot of wiggle room". When pressed on exactly how much it cost to send those men to my house to drop off some dehumidifiers and leave, he "was not going to get into his men's pay", obviously because it would never even get close to the amount he charged me. I understand that it is after hours, and he tried to use the "my guys would have rather been at home with their families". Don't get into a nighttime business if that is so much a bother that you gouge ordinary people into oblivion. I work nights, and respond to ACTUAL emergencies, and we do not charge any extra or try to make people feel bad for us. Other reviews have shown me that he will try and make you the liar when he responds. This company is perpetuating the reason that insurance is so expensive. I can only imagine what he would have charged a company, because he told me this was not even the insurance rate. He gets two stars for the offer to negotiate prices and hear me out, that is it.read more

Despite the companies previous response to my husband, his father is a prison guard and has zero to do with this. Both... contractor, adjuster, and reputable water damage mitigation experts agreed this company did an awful job, was running up the bill with unnecessary equipment, and did do substantial damage. The floors in our entire home were refloated and we were limited in what we could use to replace because of the damage to the cement. They even put the drain hose on my screened in porch to just run sewage water all over my porch area. One machine was left overflowing and we had to turn off. We were never contacted about any question with the insurance company report as we have that information. Sheetrock was busted well beyond the 4 feet removal. Actually all of the drinks in our garage fridge were consumed as well if we want to speak of details and facts. Telling us why we fired you is absurd, hence unprofessional. Chris is who called once you were terminated to debate the topic. To date, and after three requests today, no itemization for charges has been provided. Stay away folks!!! Not one other entity in the industry has even heard of these folks we could find or vouch for their business practices.read more

They arrived within 4 hours of call is the only good thing. They destroyed the cement in our house we had to fire... them. When asked to leave the property they then called wife and were very ugly. Invoice sent for the FIRST time with a note indicating a lien will be placed within 5 days. Continued to berate and refused to itemize the invoice with exorbitant charges. Also, according to licensed water remediation professional they had 8x the machines in our home to cause over-drying.read more

We had water damage from Hurricane Sally and some of the walls and ceilings in the home had to be removed for mold... remediation. We'd bought the house a couple years ago and hadn't had a chance to make changes, so we took this opportunity to do so. I sent Michael a document with all my selections for the house and it was completely remodeled inside and out. I handled everything from another state and Michael kept the quality high. When we finally arrived, we were really pleased with the work. The house is totally transformed.read more

We contacted this company after the hurricane in September for a free quote.... they estimated the damage to be about... $2000 in demolition including dehumidifiers and $2000 in repairs. They were going to return the next day with a contract with exact dollar amount and do the work but left two dehumidifiers in the meantime at their request not ours. They did not come the next day so the day after that mind you time is of the essence with mold. We did the demo ourselves. At no point did they check moisture levels or return. We called and asked them to pick up their equipment. They were too busy again... Finally after a few days they picked up their equipment after several requests from us and sent us a bill for around $4000. The rental for the same make and model dehumidifiers is about $50 a day. You could purchase one for $2500 and a used one for $1,100 mind you one didn’t even work. We had not agreed to or asked for this. This place is an absolute scam. They tried threatening a lien on our house when we refused to pay something we didn’t agree to or ask for. You have to win a legal court case to get a lien on someones house but they tried to intimidate us into paying something that we never agreed to instead. Now we are talking to lawyers. Do not EVER use this company they are absolute horrible people and scam artists.read more

Excellent is the best word to describe The Remediation Team FL and their crew. They came out after we had water damage... and did a thorough job. Instead of just drying out as another company was planning on doing, they went in and took out the damage, allowed time for it to all dry, then replaced the sheet rock and painted the entire wall. Hailey and Michelle were great, they both were always available to answer any of my questions and concerns. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who did the work, but he was also top notch. When we called the day Hurricane Sally hit, Mike was so caring, professional & efficient. They were swamped with calls... & requests, & he still assured me they’d get someone out to me that day. He told me they were working around the clock & that it may be later that evening, but they would be there that day. His crew got there earlier than expected & again, were as helpful, professional & ready to get to work as Mike was on the phone call. They explained the process, got the water out of our basement, set up their equipment to leave a few days to make sure & dry up any moisture, & said to make sure if we had any other issues to give them a call. I called them immediately after Hurricane Sally. Took 3 days to get to my house. Tried to get me to lie to insurance... company about water damage. Put 3 humidifiers in home. Didn’t discuss cost and left. Charged be 2500.00 for nothing. I do not recommend. Especially if you don’t have insurance. We didn’t have flood insurance.read more
